The centenary statue unveiled on 14 February 2002

With all the new buildings and first-class facilities, you might be forgiven for thinking Perth College is a relative newcomer to the suburb. But, of course, that is not true and the school has been in Mt Lawley for 110 years. Founded in 1902 by Sister Rosalie and other members of the Community of the Sisters of the Church, Perth College is the oldest Anglican girls' school in Western Australia. The school first commenced in St Mary's Hall in Colin Street, West Perth, with 32 girls.

The demand for the introduction of boarding students increased and, as a result, Hawkesbury, situated near Kings Park, was opened in 1903. Together with the amalgamation of other subsidiary schools under the control of the Sisters of the Church, the school moved to the Mount Lawley site in 1916. Given it is in its 110th year here in Mt Lawley, it is a good opportunity to take a look at the past and the future of the school.

Please come along and make Donna welcome!
